Communion / Footwashing - We will be having a communion and footwashing service Wednesday night July 15th. Don't miss this life-changing service.
Worker Appreciation Day - Make plans now to come out and help us say "Thanks" to all those serve in the church. Sunday morning July 26th. Dinner after the service, no p m service.

"Wake Up The Sleeper"
In Mark 4:35-41 we see the disciples in a fix. They are facing a storm and no matter what they do, they can't seem to get a handle on the situation. Their energy is spent to no avail. Jesus invited them to "cross over to the other side." Sounded good to them but I'm sure they didn't know about the storm. If they had, they may have never gotten in the boat. But here they are, struggling...with a situation bigger than themselves....in their own ability and power.
That is until they remembered who was on board. Being sailors they felt they could handle the sailing. Jesus was good at drawing crowds and blessing babies but this was their territory...so they put Jesus to sleep. They thought they could handle this.
When they discovered they could not, the woke up the sleeper. When they remembered who was on board that ship with them everything changed. The storm ceased and they crossed over.
Isn't it time for you to remember who is with you? Stop trying to "handle" it yourself. Wake up the sleeper......and watch everything change for the better.
